We ship with UPS via Next Day Air for all of our live animals. Our Shipping Schedule is Tuesday through Thursday for Wednesday through Friday deliveries.

Shipping Supplies

Supplies, Live Rock, and Live Sand are shipped via UPS Ground. Your shipping total for supplies will be calculated at checkout.

Our Safe Shipping Methods

Shipping saltwater specimens is a lot safer then it might sound. Remember the majority of these items have already been shipped into the United States from their country of origin. We carefully pack each of our shipments and have had an excellent track record with the animals we ship.

We use UPS Overnight Shipping for all our live animal orders. These shipments are dropped off to a shipping location late in the afternoon and typically arrive by 10:30am the next morning to most areas. As a result, our shipments spend as little time in transit during peak heat as possible.

Each of our livestock orders are shipped in high quality Styrofoam lined boxes to minimize the effect of external temperatures on the internal temperature of the box. During particularly cold weather, we include appropriate heat packs to further ensure the temperatures in the shipping box stay ideal. Further, in particularly warm periods, we use cold packs for the same purpose.

Each Specimen is oxygen packed with synthetic sea water in 2-4 mm thick aquarium bags. Depending on the ability of livestock to puncture the bags the specimen may be double or even triple bagged for its protection. The box is then packed tightly and securely to prevent shifting during transit.  

We have had excellent success with our shipping methods and are confident in the process. Provided you follow our Acclimation Guide to detail the animals will make the best possible adjustment to their new environment. Rest assured that every effort to ensure the wellbeing of the animals is taken and our process is above and beyond the industry standard.
