The Flameback Angelfish is also known as the Flameback Pygmy Angelfish. It is important to provide Dwarf Flameback Angelfish with plenty of good quality cured live rock and a well aquascaped aquarium with caves, archways and overhangs to swim through or hide in. In the aquarium they are not aggressive, a good community fish except with other dwarf angelfish unless in a larger aquarium. The Flameback Angelfish is known to eat mostly algae in the wild, so a diet rich in vegetable matter is essential along with mysis, brine shrimp, or krill.
